A Visionary from the Start
Vanessa Collier, the inventor of the Kinktamer blow dryer, has always been ahead of her time.
At just 7 years old, she imagined technology like FaceTime long before it existed—showing an early passion for innovation and problem-solving.
That same forward-thinking mindset carried into the 90s and early 2000s, where she set out to solve a frustrating, everyday issue.

The Problem No One Was Solving
Stylists and everyday users faced a common frustration:
Loose, missing, or poorly fitting comb attachments that constantly fell off—interrupting the styling process and wasting valuable time.
It was a small problem—but one that affected every session.

A Smarter, Simpler Solution
A Smarter, Simpler Solution
Driven to eliminate this issue, Vanessa created a crude early prototype—reimagining the blow dryer with an integrated comb design.
Instead of relying on separate attachments, the solution was built directly into the tool itself.

Turning Vision Into Reality
Vanessa partnered with engineers who could bring her idea to life.
Through collaboration, testing, and refinement, the concept evolved into a working prototype—leading to mold creation and the production of the Kinktamer units.
Our Mission
To create practical, user-friendly tools that make hair styling easier, faster, and more effective—without unnecessary frustration.

A Commitment to Innovation
Today, the Kinktamer stands as a testament to Vanessa’s commitment to solving real-world problems through thoughtful design and innovation.
